Anitra and I deployed to Afghanistan in 2002 with the 339th Combat Support Hospital. After we returned home we all went our own ways, as is normal. We kept in touch as best we could as we started and grew our respective families, but one day I saw her post some pictures of some quilts she was making and that, as they say, is that. It's a neat experience to learn about the skills and talents that neither you nor they ever knew about.
She hung up her uniforms and her lab coat and now does some of the nicest quilting I have ever seen. Click on her photo for an upclose look at her finished pieces and let me know if you would like to schedule a consultation for one of your own handmade Marinchek quilts.
